Prof. Dr. Mathijs Lamberigts, Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, KU Leuven, is pleased to invite you to the inaugural lecture of Prof. Dr. Mehdi Azaiez, Professor of Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, KU Leuven. The lecture will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at 04.30 p.m., at the Promotion Room of the University Hall, Naamsestraat 22 in Leuven. Prof. Dr. Mehdi Azaiez
Mehdi Azaiez (Paris, 1974) holds a PhD of the University of Aix-en-Provence. In 2012-2013, he was instructor of Islamic Studies and co-director of the international project « Qur’ân Seminar » at the University of Notre Dame. In 2013-2014, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Laboratoire d’excellence ‘Religions et Sociétés dans le Monde Méditerranéen’, Paris. His research focuses on Quranic Studies and Early Islam.
